Bryce turned 2 on July 1! His personality is so big it hardly seems possible it can fit in his little body, which—by the way—is enormous for his age. Bryce continues to measure in the 98-99% percentile for weight and from what we could tell amidst his squirming, he’s just over 3 feet tall already.

Although we forwent a formal party this year, we still had his birthday shirt, decorations and a chocolate cake of which I’m rather proud!

Bryce generally claps when anyone sings happy birthday. He was quite pleased to be the recipient this time!

We’re still working our way through Bryce’s birthday gifts, as he loses interest after opening just one or two. He got a new water table, a PlasmaCar (that Landon appreciate more than Bryce so far), bath toys, books, shirts, Duplos and a few other things I’m surely forgetting.

Bryce continues to laugh easily, loves hard and is generally the chillest kid ever 90% of the time (but beware of that other 10%!)

When they did a finger prick blood draw at his well check, he didn’t flinch and even laughed at the nurse. Then when he got a shot at the same appointment he didn’t make a peep. He looked at the nurse with some curiosity when she plunged the needle into his thigh, but quickly went back to examining his car and sticker. The next day at the pool he took a tumble on the concrete, got up and kept walking like nothing had happened. Tough as a woodpecker’s lips, as Brian would say.
