Jennings Environmental Center is an ideal area to have little kids do their first hikes where they walk themselves. We took Landon there as a young guy for one of his first hikes. Yesterday, we headed up to Jennings and, although I still brought the backpack carrier just in case, Bryce walked for nearly all of our 2-mile hike!

At the end of the hike he was slowing down a bit. If I crouch down and open my arms, he’ll usually come running toward me. Yesterday was no exception.

May these boys always have the comfort and confidence to literally and figuratively run into my arms, which are always open for them.
