This summer has been a nonstop marathon of commitments and tasks. Between the constant running, we’re still trying to find moments to enjoy ourselves and typical summer activities. We joined the local community pool and both boys just adore splashing and being in the water. We also set up our pool, water table and splash pad at home.

We were also gifted a season pass to a local animal park and have visited it a few times, where Landon has fed giraffes, reindeer, goats and more. Brian used to work at this animal park (and took me there for an early date) and there were several like father-like son moments.

The 4th of July is historically my favorite holiday (tied with Christmas). Everything about it was different this year, but we still enjoyed picnics and grilled food and sporting our red, white and blue. And Bryce started showing interest in stairs. The baby loves to climb. Footstool? He’s on it. Fireplace hearth? All over it. Stairs? He’s very interested.

And of course random other playing, Gruffalo time, jumping, digging in the dirt, swinging, bubbles, scooter riding and more.
