Bryce was baptized on Dec. 11 against the backdrop of Christmas decor and amid family, friends and the St. Peter’s church congregation. He was a champ during the process despite being hungry and very, very tired. Landon even actively participated in naming Bryce; when the pastor asked us to name this child Brian and I each thought the other would respond. During the long pause, Landon shouted, “Bryce!” Then we fully named Bryce Forrest Cowin.

We enjoyed a spread of several quiches (made with our very own duck eggs), bacon, fruit, mimosas and coffee at our house afterward.
