The past three+ months have been a blur of sleep deprivation, baby snuggles, preschooler shenanigans, diapers, food, milk and endless joy, love and coffee.

As usual, I’ve been quite remiss in updating this blog, but this recent story sums it up perfectly: Landon, Bryce and I were leaving the library one evening before dinner. We were all hungry and a bit tired. Bryce, who by all accounts is a very easy-going baby, started crying in the car. Landon started laughing and laughing. I asked him what was so funny and he laughed some more. Finally, he exclaimed, “I just LOVE having a baby!”

Bryce is a big baby. It’s been a little over a month since his last appointment, but at two months he was just over 24 inches long and about 13 pounds. Although he’s just past 3 months old, he’s already growing out of some of his 6-month clothing!

Landon is doing wonderfully in preschool. Although tired at the end of his school days, he comes out of the classroom cheerful and all smiles and even sometimes deigns to tell us what he did in school that day. Park season is quickly coming to an end thanks to darkness falling ever-earlier and cool or wet weather. He had great play sessions at the park where his imagination ran wild while slaying dragons, defending the castle and naming me the queen and therefore calling me, “Your Majesty.” I hope the “Your Majesty” title sticks around for a good many years. He’s right; I am the queen of this family!
