Landon spends Fridays with my parents. When we see him at the end of each day, we ask Landon what he did. “I played!” is his usual response. With sunny and warmer days, he gets to go on a lot of park trips and walks around their neighborhood. He’s becoming rather well-known in their cul-de-sac.

When we asked him what he saw on his walk last Friday, he exclaimed, “The ABC Truck!” Dad, aka Papa, laughed and said, “It was the UPS truck, Landon.”

(He also saw a fire hydrant and a couple horses in a nearby field. Neigh!)

We didn’t get photos, but he also got to sit in the mail truck, steer the steering wheel and honk the horn outside of his sitter’s house yesterday when Brian picked him up! I love living in a town where mailmen will take an extra couple minutes of their days to give a toddler a thrill.

Landon is also adopting the mindset of “When I’m older…” We were driving home the other week and saw/heard a motorcycle. Landon wanted one, which we both vehemently vetoed. He said, “When I am older I will ride a motorcycle.” (We will still veto it when he’s older.) Landon also recently told Brian he’d get a tractor “when I’m older.” We’re more open to the tractor idea.

We also got to take Landon to the park a couple weeks ago during fake Spring. Most of the town had the same idea, but there are plenty of slides to go around. I cut this video off a moment too soon. I didn’t capture on film, but he said, “That was fun!” as soon as he got off the slide.

Landon has only one month left as a two-year-old. We can’t believe he’s going to be 3 so soon!
