Landon is a funny guy. He talks from the moment he wakes up each morning through bedtime, and often beyond. It’s not unusual to hear him talking to his animals in his crib up to an hour after he goes to bed!
Here are some of my favorite Landon quotes from the past month or so:
Landon: “Your boo boo okay?”
Me: “No, my boo boo hurts a lot today.”
Landon: “That’s okay. I can fix it with my thermometer.”
Landon: “Can I put my poop in the mailbox?”
Me: “Goodnight sweetheart.”
Landon: “Goodnight sweetheart. *long pause* What’s sweetheart?”
When Landon realized I was going to the chiropractor for the first time in a long time he said, “Just so you know, the robot is scary.” (The chiropractor office has a lot of toys, including a robot that he plays with every time.)
Landon looking at a picture of Lexi: “That’s my favorite Lexi.”
Me: “Lexi is my favorite dog too.”
Landon: “No, I already picked her.”
Me: “We can’t both pick Lexi as our favorite dog?”
Landon: “No!”
Landon asked to read “Hippos Go to Work.” The actual book is Hippos Go Berserk, by Sandra Boynton. (Incidentally, the grouping of nine hippos in that book happen to be going to work.)
Landon got a little table and chairs for Christmas and it’s turned into a terrific art table for coloring, Play-Doh and more! He also loves to eat in the living room with me. The kitchen chairs are still quite uncomfortable, so I often take my meals on the armchair or sofa, and Landon requests to “eat with Mommy.”
