Christmas was wonderful with our little Landon! This year he started to understand the idea of unwrapping his packages and all the fun stuff in the boxes! He loved his new toys and gadgets, and possibly loved the paper and boxes even more.

We stayed local this year since I was (and still am) on crutches. Christmas is one of my favorite times of year, alongside the 4th of July, mostly due to out-of-town family in the area and the festive atmosphere!

Landon’s a gem and changing SO fast. He’s trying to learn new words and added ball, apple, nana (banana) and more to his normal vocabulary. No is still his favorite word. He’s very aware of where Daddy and Mama are. The nights Brian works late, if Landon hears someone coming in or out of the house, he goes “Daddy?! Daddy?! Daddy?!”

We’re also trying to get him to say his own name. Brian says, “My name is Daddy.” I say, “My name is Mama.” (Landon thinks that’s hilarious.) Then we ask, “Landon, what’s your name?” Landon responds, “ME!”

One morning a few weeks ago, Landon walked into our bedroom when I was brushing my teeth in our bathroom and when he saw me he shrieked “Mama Mama Mama Mama!” and ran/speed walked toward me with open arms and his ginormous grin. He’s such a loving squirt.

Landon is pointing out his first Christmas ornament. He’s also not a huge fan of Santa Claus. Maybe next year.

Landon got a rocking cow for Christmas. He thinks it’s pretty swell. I named it Clarence because I love alliteration and also because of the angel in “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Plus, I love the Outlander series and there’s a mule in it named Clarence.

The youngest and oldest members of our family. Nana took Landon for a walkabout the living room on her walker.

Hammering the pegs in is fun, yes, but have you seen how it works underneath? Inquisitive child.

He really loves vacuum cleaners. He was helping Papa here quite voluntarily. Landon’s also been loving up Lexi lately.

Clarence can also be played with from the front.

And, finally, Landon had his first haircut just before Christmas! He’s so grown up.
