It’s been too long since my last update! Take it as a sure sign we’ve been far too busy chasing our toddler around, picking food up off the floor he insists on throwing down and playing a lot of ball.
Let’s rewind and go back to our summer travels, though: Deep Creek, Maryland, and southeastern Ohio to visit family.
We traveled with the Banyay pack to Deep Creek for a wonderful long weekend in August. Six adults and five boys 10 and under made for a busy house!
We took Landon to the lake one night and were very unprepared, so he played in the water in his onesie and diaper. Two months later, I think we’re done washing sand out of him. He LOVED it and the picture with his floatie? He floated and laughed for nearly 30 minutes in that moment. He’s a huge water baby.
In addition to fun water activities, which also included the adults enjoying a jetski and some fun whitewater rafting (no pictures of either!), we got to do a lot of hiking. The area has some beautiful waterfalls and we also made a stop at Cooper’s Rock in West Virginia on the way home. It’s an easy day trip from the Pittsburgh area and if you’ve not been — GO. I hope to go back one day and truly take advantage of that magnificent area.
And apparently me hauling Landon around on his carrier is exhausting … for him. He was passed out cold after one of our hikes in his carrier.
The whole family!

We also visited southeast Ohio to visit both sets of Brian’s parents. The only pictures of that trip I came home with were of Landon’s first boat ride, where he did a stellar job of captaining us around the lake.
Phew! Exhausting summer. He slept well. 🙂
