We’ve had a busy summer and no time to spend on the computer! But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been photo documenting it.
Landon had his 15-month wellness check and is in perfect health. He was nearly 30 pounds and about 31 inches tall. The best part is always the paper, although playing with a tongue depresser while the pediatrician checks his ears is a close second. He also discovered the joys of blueberry jam on pancakes. (Thanks Roxanne!)
Landon also is learning he can look through certain things and still see me. In this case, a plastic lid. No hands necessary!
Landon is obsessed with coffee. I mean, obsessed. He tries to take it from us all the time, grab at the coffee pot and takes coffee out of the cupboard to try to open it. He’s partial to Dean’s Beans coffee, which is about all we drink in this house. He obviously hasn’t had any coffee yet (c’mon, he’s only 1) but I know he eagerly awaits the day many, many years from now when we let him take his first sip.
He’s also getting into the produce squeeze pouches, which are convenient for on the go but also convenient to get some veggies in him. He’s getting a pickier palette and this particular pouch was the first vegetable I convinced him to eat that week. He was happier afterward, too, substantiating my belief that vegetables make you happier.
We go to the park a couple times a week to swing, slide and play with dead leaves and sticks. He’s also standing so well and stays well hydrated!
BUBBLES! Enough said. They’re joyous. They’re fun to pop. They’re intriguing.
Watching his dad mow the lawn is always a big hit.
We sometimes swing on the front porch, and sometimes (like in this pic) I think there’s juuuuust a bit of mama-son resemblance. He’s also taken to grabbing all his books and having us read them on repeat. His current favorite? Sandra Boynton’s “Are You A Cow?” He even has a favorite page: “You are not a hippo. You are small. They are big.”
