Landon recently learned how to wave. It’s a big deal in this house. Sometimes he waves when you would think you would wave—saying goodbye, for example—but he mostly just waves in the bathtub, in his high chair, while he rides in the car and catches my eye in the mirror.
As you can see, it’s a very serious business around here … at times.
Other times it’s child’s play.
He also learned how to climb stairs. Amy, his OT, was over a few weeks ago while Landon was messing around on the bottom step and she said how good it was if he learned how to climb. So now he does every chance he gets. He ignores his toys, ignores his parents, even ignores his dog for the chance to go scale the steps. I’ve taken to using it to trick him into thinking naps and diaper changes are his idea. He’s not a fan of naps, but hugging his horse helps.
We’ve been having other fun times hiking at various state parks, visiting the chiropractor, doing chores, playing at the park and living life with a 1-year-old.
