We celebrated Landon’s first birthday with a family party at our home.

I spent a decent bit of time decorating with balloons, tissue paper puff banners over the windows and monkey stickers. My favorite part was this doorway that is lined with his monthly photos from newborn to 11 months. Landon didn’t totally understand why his house was so full of happy people, but I’m pretty sure he loved all the attention and having SIX of his cousins here.

Landon wasn’t quite sure what to do with his cupcake but he eventually discovered the joys of frosting before picking up the entire cupcake and trying to shove it all in his mouth. That boy is living his best life.

Landon is all set to go as he begins his second trip around the sun. He got a new compact/umbrella stroller (Summer Infant 3D Lite Convenience), a swimming pool, swim diapers, outfits, learning toys, a bib and books!

Brian and I got Landon a swim outfit that included dinosaur trunks, a swim shirt with dinosaur scales on the sleeve and a hat, all with SPF 50. He wasn’t so sure about wearing the super cute dino hat.

I also loaded up on balloons. Landon got his first balloon at a Valentine’s Day party at his sitter’s and he loved it. I intended to get only one, but came home with about five (thankfully it was a short drive given my inability to use the rear view mirror!). He was pleased. Be sure to catch the video at the bottom of this post of balloon time!
