Even though life feels different every day, I suppose the rapid evolution of Landon is actually just life as usual.

Landon is on the move! He crawls everywhere — usually in search of one of us — and even started pulling himself up on his knees. He also discovered the stairs. Look out!

My leg used to be a wonderful barrier that he first wouldn’t even try to go over, then frequently got stuck going over and now he just plows over it like it doesn’t exist.

One of my favorite parts of any day is playing on the floor. Landon is such an affectionate boy and just wants to play and cuddle and kiss us and eat my hair.

I also like to think he’s a magazine editor in the making. (OK, so he was ripping the magazine to shreds while I did my hair, but a baby’s got to start somewhere, right?)

And one of my favorite moments of late: Landon’s inaugural ride in his swanky Deuter pack! Uncle Scott and Bridget, who I credit with instilling the love of hiking in me, got us a great baby carrier last year that we were unable to use in the warm weather because Landon was too small and then it was too cold for awhile. We had a couple days in the 50s last weekend and finally strapped him in and went for our first family walk around our yard! We have 4 acres, so we took our time, went through the woods and then down around the chicken areas. Landon was so happy he laughed for probably about 10 minutes.

As always, we can’t believe this happy little guy is ours! He plays so well, has a hearty appetite and is one of the most joy-filled people I’ve ever met.
